As Obama hit the campaign trail for the first time, he said that  threaten democracy is at stake in next month’s midterm elections.

As a famous Democratic power player, the Georgia governor called on his party members to vote so election conspiracy theorists would not get a hold of the levers of power.

During his speech in the Atlanta suburbs, an energised Obama told the crowd, “It’s not enough to elect Democrats at the top of the ticket.”

In order for us to achieve our goals, we have to elect good candidates at all levels of government. There are people running for offices around the country who have attempted to undermine our democracy,” he said. There is no telling what might happen if they win, so I cannot say for sure what might happen.”

Obama, who left office in 2017, was guest of honour at the rally held in Georgia, where two extremely close races are generating millions of dollars. A former US football player backed by Donald Trump is challenging Raphael Warnock for re-election in the southern state with a long history of segregation.

It may well decide which party will control the US Senate – and whether President Joe Biden’s agenda can be advance or obstruct.

Brian Kemp, influential threaten Democracy

The governor’s seat is also up for grabs in a heated race between Republican Brian Kemp and influential Democrat Stacey Abrams.

The president also addressed the issue of abortion rights, which have threatened since the Supreme Court overturned decades-old Roe v. Wade, as well as Republican electoral integrity and Trump-driven false claims.

According to him, women everywhere should have the power to control and control their bodies. It shouldn’t be controversial to state that women and their doctors should make the most personal of healthcare choices. A bunch of mostly male politicians should be elect, not a bunch of mostly female ones.”

The elections that determine who controls both houses of Congress and who gets the governor’s mansions in dozens of states have already begun.

Elections on November 8 will also decide hundreds of positions at the county and state levels.
