It has confirmed that Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will be lit in pink during the third T20I match between Pakistan and Ireland on November 16 as part of an initiative to create awareness among the masses about breast cancer.

As part of its corporate social responsibility program, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made the decision as part of its responsibility to the community.

In a press release, the PCB said: “Both team captains, players, match officials and commentators will be wearing pink ribbons throughout the match and specific awareness messages will be display throughout the stadium throughout the game.”

It has also decided that the stumps  also  brand pink. There will be a pink backdrop for the post-match ceremony which   use as a backdrop for the ceremony.”

For spectators, the entrance to the matches is free of charge with four enclosures – Imran Khan enclosure, Rajas’ enclosure, Fazal Mahmood enclosure, and Saeed Anwar enclosure – being open to the general public. For Wednesday’s match against the Buccaneers, the PCB also encourages fans to wear pink clothing.

In addition, the PCB will provide pink coloured shirts as giveaways to spectators in a variety of stands during the match as a part of PCB’s promotional campaign.”

Three-match women’s T20I series 

A three-match women’s T20I series  drawn on the third day of play between Pakistan and Ireland at Lahore with Pakistan winning by six wickets.

Due to the rain, the game reduced from 20 overs per side to 17 overs per side.

With the target of 119 runs in hand, Pakistan reached the finish line in 16 overs with four wickets falling for the loss of four wickets.

It was Ireland that defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the first women’s Twenty20 International match of the series at Lahore, Pakistan on Saturday.

A case in point would be the fact that Pakistan had clean swept the one day international series 3-0 before embarking on the T20I series.

In the Pakistan team, Bismah Maroof is in charge, Aimen Anwar is the opener, Aliya Riaz is the second opener, Ayesha Naseem is the third opener, Fatima Sana is the third opener, Ghulam Fatima is the third opener, Javeria Khan is the third opener and Nida Dar is the wicketkeeper.

The reserve player is Sidra Nawaz
