PTI workers assaulted Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb in a coffee shop in London on Sunday, screaming insults and accusations at her.

The information minister was buying coffee in a café near Marble Arch station when she was heckled by a mob of PTI supporters who surrounded her and began screaming at her. Women PTI supporters proceeded to target her with indecent claims, accusing her of being a thief.

“Marriyum Aurangzeb is spending Pakistan’s looted money in London,” a woman yelled in the coffee shop. The PTI demonstrators surrounded the information minister and harassed her, but she remained mute and smiled.

Meanwhile, the information minister expressed sadness over the ‘toxic influence’ of the PTI chief’s hate-filled politics. She stayed and answered every question made by PTI activists, retweeting a tweet by veteran journalist Syed Talat Hussain.

But, she argued, the people there were victims of Imran’s propaganda. “We shall keep working to defeat Imran Khan’s toxic politics and bring people together,” she said. She added that she proud of her party’s supporters and their behavior in the face of provocation from PTI activists.

She urged them not to lose faith in democracy. The PTI banned by authorities in Punjab province over its alleged role in violence during last year’s general elections. which Khan’s party lost by a wide margin.

Senior  journalist Talat Hussain wrote in a tweet that included a video clip of Marriyum Aurangzeb heckled by PTI activists in London, “She braved the circumstances with elegance.”

He called it a “shameful behavior on the part of the harassers,” and predicted that the trend would be unstoppable for others. He warned that it was only a matter of time before the PTI women or Imran faced the same fate. “I will denounce it even then,” he continued, “but with the admonition that what goes around comes around.”
