A relentless riders exposes seahawks  and ran through the Seahawks’ defense … again, again and again.

It’s been 35 years since the legendary run into the Kingdome tunnel by Bo Jackson on Monday Night Football, and another Raider runner hit the headlines in Seattle last week at the Seahawks’ expense.

In overtime, Jacobs ran for 86 yards to race to a franchise record 229 yards running to hand the Seahawks a 40-34 defeat Sunday afternoon.

In a video posted on social media, Jacobs can  see sprinting off the field and up the tunnel in the southeast corner of Lumen Field, pointing and yelling at one Seahawks fan.

There’s only one person to blame! ”  Jacobs yelled at the fan.  I told you! I told you!”

Seahawks fans didn’t point the finger at each other after surrendering 576 yards of offense to the Lions, their third-most ever in a game.

Despite seemingly having fixed the run stopping issue this season, the Seahawks have failed to stop the run again this season.

Despite this, the Raiders followed the 49ers and Buccaneers’ lead and used a fullback often (Jakob Johnson) on their run plays, which led to Jacobs’ success.

Coach Pete Carroll called it an old-style ball

We encountered that problem again. Coach Pete Carroll called it an old-style ball. This is not a new development. In both of the last two games, we failed to adjust to it because it is different.

Our performance against two-back stuff needs to improve. There’s no question about it. There’s no denying it. We’ll deal with it.”

Despite suffering a calf injury last week while playing for the Raiders in Denver, Jacobs wasn’t certain he would play Sunday. Despite aggravating his injury against the Seahawks in the fourth quarter. He told trainers he was feeling good enough to play.

In the visitor’s locker room, Jacobs said, “I stood up and looked my teammates in the eye, telling them I would give them everything I had,” assuming he would play. It took me a while to convince them to let me leave. There was a big play after that.”

On his winning run in overtime, Jacobs took Seattle’s 330-pound nose tackle Al Woods right through the heart of their defense, running straight through him for a 30-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

The 74 yards Jacobs gained came from six catches. According to NFL Research, he became the first player since at least 1950 to rush for 225 yards and receive 70 yards in one game.

Riders exposes Seahawks defensive tackle Shelby

There’s no getting rid of him. It’s no secret that he’s a tough runner with good balance. Seahawks defensive tackle Shelby Harris said that it is imperative to wrap him up. Unlike some backs who fall when they’re touched, he doesn’t fall when he’s touched. The extra yards he gets from breaking tackles are what makes him money.

Over their last three games, the Seahawks have given up 566 rushing yards, which is a season high.

Linebacker Jordyn Brooks said his team must play more physically. Blocks and tackles must be taken on by guys. There is no room for missing tackles. That is my understanding of it.”

As a result of limiting Raiders star receiver Davante Adams’ seven catches (on 11 targets) for 74 yards, the Seahawks mostly achieved one of their primary objectives Sunday. It was difficult for him to make a significant impact on the game for most of it.

Nevertheless, Carroll acknowledged that focusing so heavily on Adams made Jacobs an unintended beneficiary.

In relation to the run defense, safety Quandre Diggs said, “we need to fix it.”. It was fixed for a few minutes, but then it started up again. At the end of the day, if we don’t stop the run, we won’t be able to accomplish anything. Everyone must get involved.”
