Several reports cite his representative as saying that actor Jason David Frank, best known for his role in the original “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” series, has passed away.
Justine Hunt, the actor’s representative, told TMZ that he died in Texas.
His representative requested privacy for Frank’s family and friends as they “come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being.”

A cause of death was not provided by the representative. After playing the Green Ranger Tommy Oliver in the popular 1990s series, Frank took on various roles in subsequent Power Rangers projects. The popular kids’ franchise began with the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” series.

Recently, he starred in “Legend of the White Dragon,” a film partly funded by Kickstarter and starring past “Power Rangers” cast members. Additionally, Frank had a great interest in mixed martial arts. His age was 49.
