For only the second time this season, the Green Bay Packers offense put up 30 points against an excellent defense. There was no stopping or slowing of the Eagles’ running game by the Packers defense on Sunday.

If the Packers were in the running to make the playoffs, they are likely all but out of the running now at 4-8.

Green Bay Packers instant takeaways after each game

Once the Packers are eliminated from playoff contention, we all speculate that Jordan Love will take over. After playing through a thumb injury, Aaron Rodgers may not have much choice but to sit out the upcoming game.

The sample size was small, but Love looked confident. He progressed, extended plays, and had some impressive throws. This was a very encouraging performance on the part of the team.

Even though the Eagles’ offense makes most defenses look bad, my goodness, that Packers’ defense looked completely out of control. The Eagles are a team that focuses on running the ball a lot. Did they know that? In the face of Miles Sanders and Jalen Hurts, Green Bay had no answers to their offensive threats. As a result of Sanders’ massive running lane between the tackles, and as a result of the edge rushers not setting good edges, Hurts took advantage of the space. It is true that Quay Walker was used as a spy at times, but that wasn’t enough, or he simply wasn’t as effective as a spy should be.

Additionally, Green Bay Packers didn’t impede the passing game in any way. Rasul Douglas and the Packers’ safeties also had poor performances.

The Packers missed more tackles this week. The tackles are missing a lot, like a lot.

The third down conversion rates on both sides of the ball were terrible. It didn’t matter since they couldn’t get off the field because they couldn’t convert any third and long situations from the offense or defense.

Neither Joe Barry nor the players were good – Packers Vs Eagles

Darnell Savage left the game early with a foot injury, but he hadn’t been included in the starting lineup before that. With Rudy Ford and Adrian Amos deep, Keisean Nixon lined up in the nickel formation for the  green bay Packers.

In 2023, the Packers only have Savage and Tariq Carpenter under contract, but you can pencil in Ford after he forced another fumble on Sunday. A solid defender, he was brought in as a special teams player.

The Packers’ offense, defense, and special teams all looked lost during the first six minutes of the game. I give Green Bay credit for making this game competitive and continuing to fight. Giving in could have been a very easy thing to do.

With a run stop, sack, and pressure, Justin Hollins had a good debut after being claimed off waivers on Wednesday. It’s already evident that he is more effective than Jonathan Garvin and La’Darius Hamilton.

Packers’ best chance of success on offense started with the run game

The green bay Packers’ best chance of success on offense started with the run game, as I wrote prior to the game. The Eagles’ run defense has been susceptible as of late without Jordan Davis, and Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon had wide running lanes to exploit. As far as passing was concerned, this set up some success early on.

As compared to the recent past, Green Bay Packers had more two running back sets, and they were much more effective from those sets. Also, Jones and Dillon played more pass defense.

AJ Dillon played one of the best games of his career. All year, we haven’t seen anything like this from him. In the two minutes before halftime this season, the Packers’ defense has allowed 60 points. Among the NFL’s most.

Two times, the Eagles intercepted Aaron Rodgers, proving they are the best in the NFL at creating turnovers. Christian Watson continues to make huge strides as a playmaker right before our eyes. There is no comparison to his speed.

As far as return man Keisean Nixon goes, he brings some serious juice to the position for the Packers.
