According to the Foreign Office on Friday, “the FO takes notice of such incidents involving Pakistani ministers (during foreign visits)”.

Following Ishaq Dar’s arrival in the US capital ahead of important meetings with global lending institutions, FO Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmed was heckled by unidentified people at Dulles International Airport.

Iftikhar said US officials had also taken note of the misbehaviour with the finance minister at the US airport during today’s press briefing.

During the visit, certain individuals targeted the government delegation, which Saudi authorities took note of.

The FO spokesperson

In response to another question, the FO spokesperson appreciated the statement from Germany’s foreign minister.

As German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock says, “Germany also has a role and responsibility in Kashmir.”. For this reason, we support intensified UN engagement in finding peaceful solutions.”

Shehbaz Sharif had also raised the Kashmir issue at the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, but India had not responded properly.

The spokesperson also discussed the death of Hurriyat leader Altaf Ahmed Shah in custody and demanded a full investigation and accountability of those responsible.

State-sponsored terrorism

In a fresh act of state-sponsored terrorism, Indian occupation forces have killed two more Kashmiris in IIOJK, Pakistan strongly condemns.

Hindutva extremists have recently perpetrated violence and hostility against Muslims in India during Hindu festivals, according to the spokesperson.

“This is another manifestation of the ‘saffron terror’ that is affecting Indian society deeply.”

Our call for accountability for crimes against humanity in Jammu and Kashmir is urgent, as is the threat Islamophobia poses to the safety, security, and well-being of Muslims and minorities in India.

IIOJK leadership have been blatantly ignorant of the ground realities as they falsely and misleadingly claim that he has “resolved the Kashmir issue”.
