Flood in Pak: There have been 323 drowning in Balochistan

A total of 323 people have died from flood in Pak in Nasirabad division on Monday, including two girls. Abdul Razzaq village is the location of the incident. Victims fell into floodwaters and drowned.

A six-year-old girl was found dead while a search was underway for the other girl. Balochistan’s rain and flood-related death toll topped 323 last week after 24 deaths were reported across the province.

Aid by Muslim countries for flood in pak

In all four districts of Nasirabad division, malaria and diarrhoea cause a large number of deaths.

Two flood-related deaths have been reported across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the NFRCC. 93 houses damaged and 20,738 cattle lost.

Over 1,638, with 12,865 injured, have died since June 14. 2,049,532 houses damaged or destroyed, and 1,120,261 cattle died. Total affected population is 33,046,329. Family affected by Rs46bn.

In the meantime, relief operations underway in affected areas, as aid and compensation distributed.

As of now, 1,861,836 families have received over Rs46 billion under the Flood Relief Cash Assistance Programme.

BISP said 150,568 flood-hit families in Balochistan have received Rs3.76bn, 1,321,300 in Sindh, 183,628 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have received Rs4.59bn, 206,033 in Punjab have received Rs5.15bn, and 307 in Gilgit-Baltistan have received Rs7.67m.

Furthermore, Friend nations and other countries continue to send aid to Pakistan as Pakistan seeks global support. According to APP, two relief flights arrived at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Monday.

So far, Saudi Arabia has sent nine flights carrying relief goods for flood victims, while Turkiye has sent 14 flights.

Roads to be restored early

Moreover, Maulana Asad Mehmood directed the National Highway Authority to restore all flood-affected roads and highways Monday.

He briefed by the NHA chairman on the condition of the Hakla-DI Khan Motorway. He said that the NHA chairman informed him that the construction work on the Hakla-DI Khan Motorway was in full swing and would complete by December.
