A remarkable feat has just been accomplished by BLACKPINK youtube history! Blackpink’s music video for their 2019 smash hit “Kill This Love” surpassed 1.7 billion views on youtube by BLACKPINK. On November 25 at approximately 2:53 p.m. Korean Standard Time.
“Kill This Love” is now only the second K-pop group music video in history to reach the milestone, following BLACKPINK’s own “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”
Furthermore, it is only the third K-pop video to reach 1.7 billion views, following PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”

Consequently, BLACKPINK is now the first Korean artist to reach the milestone with more than one music video. On top of being the first K-pop group to surpass 1.7 billion views.
“This Love” was first released on April 5, 2019, which means it took just over three years, seven months, and twenty days for the video to reach 1.7 billion views.
