A response has been provided once again by BLACKPINK agency YG entertainment in response to rumors that Jennie and BTS V are dating.

After a Jeju Island photo went viral on the Internet earlier in May, the dating rumors between BTS V and BLACKPINK Jennie dominated the news. The agency once again dismissed the rumors, saying that the two are just good friends.

They also pointed out that Jennie is still too young to date an idol from another group and commented on the situation by saying, “We will be taking legal action against those spreading false rumors.”

According to Soompi, YG Entertainment plans to take strong legal action against acts of defamation and the dissemination of irrelevant content.

As stated in an official statement, “we have requested the police investigate the original distributor of Jennie’s personal photos.”

In a statement to PEOPLE, YG claims that “We will take legal action in response to posts that tarnish our artists’ reputations and character.” The statement continues, “We will take legal action against those who have spread rumors about our artists on the Internet without any evidence or proof.”

YG Entertainment also claims that they have taken legal action against the distributor of Jennie’s personal photos. The agency says that they are currently investigating the origin of the leak and plan to take strong action against those responsible. The statement continues, “We warn the public not to spread rumors or false information regarding our artists’ private lives.”
